What Does A School Counselor Do?
The purpose of the school counseling program at STA is to provide the support that students need to be successful academically, socially and emotionally.
As a school counselor, I work directly with students, staff and parents. I coordinate school and community resources in order to assist in maximizing the academic success and social functioning of the students.
In my role, I advocate for all students to ensure equal access to school programs and resources, while working to reduce or eliminate barriers that impede students from reaching their full potential.
